Amazingly, we are able to build a school in Burma for £2000 and to run it for one year for £950. Whilst this is an amazing opportunity, we still need to find the money to make it happen.
So, in September we’re holding a ‘Classical Music Concert for Burma’ where one of the UK’s finest musicians Ruth Rogers (pictured) will perform alongside other top musicians, all of whom are performing free.
The concert will take place at Bromley Music Trust, main hall on Saturday 27 September at 7.30pm. Music will be by Bach, Brahms, Beethoven, Debussy and Rachmaninov. Ticket are £25 (all of which goes directly to the schools project).
We’re delighted that Richard Lane, the chair of the trustees of Bromley Music Trust will introduce the evening and has also provided Steff & Matt with hugely helpful advice and practical help to make this event go well.
We’re hoping that all of you who are already interested in the schools project will come, and also that you’ll bring friends, work colleagues, family...
It will be an evening of outstanding music, and opportunity to help build a future for the young people of Burma.
